more backings
These are also shots of backings taken over the years at Warner Bros. and ABC Television. This top row are shots of a reproduction of an Albert Bierstadt painting that was drawn and mostly painted by Don Hanson (he appears in the center picture) and Dave Dies. I painted the left side which is in shadow. Don painted the "hero" center portion with sunshine and reflections. The snowy scene below are details of a relatively small backing (60 feet long) used by ABC TV, probably for General Hospital and for the annual staff Christmas party! Toward the bottom is a small (9'x12') painting, which was for a Warner Bros. store in New York--not exactly a backing, but a quick painting depicting the store and New York streets. Other backings on this page are fairly generic city scapes and landscapes, including a couple which were painted as diorama pieces included in a movie about a museum called "Relic". |
